The Board of Education provides online access to Board Policies and Superintendent Regulations in the interest of positive relations, uniformity of interpretation, and fairness to all patrons and employees of the Boulder Valley School District.
Board Policies are the Board’s rules for the successful and efficient governance of the public schools. Adoption of policies or the revision or repeal of existing policies is solely the responsibility of the Board of Education. The Board endeavors to establish policies which address the concerns of the local community while working within the framework of state and federal laws.
Superintendent Regulations are the administrative rules that are issued by the Superintendent to put policy into practice. Superintendent Regulations serve as detailed directions for the successful and efficient administration of the public schools. When the symbol “R” follows a code, this indicates that the statement is a regulation, not a Board policy. When the symbol “E” follows a code, this indicates that the statement is a reference document, such as a calendar, application form, etc., rather than a policy.
