Project Status
Renovations in the library, art room, classrooms and computer lab were completed over the summer. Work on the office, as well as construction of the preschool classrooms, continues. Interior finishes are being installed in the main office which is scheduled for occupancy in January. Exterior brick work and interior drywall are being installed in the preschool classrooms. These are scheduled to be complete in February. The elevator will be installed over winter break.
 
The office will be relocated to the Quonset hut for the duration of construction and the door near the hut will serve as the main entrance.   
 
Playground improvements were completed in 2009.

Scope of Work

Facility Condition Assessment (FCA):

  • Communication systems improvements
  • Ventilation improvements
  • Irrigation system upgrades
  • Interior finishes upgraded (i.e. ceiling tiles, carpet, wall finishes, etc.)
  • Upgrade electrical service and distribution
  • Interior Signage Program

Program Compatibility Assessment (PCA):

  • Provide Special Education spaces
  • Provide small group instructional spaces
  • Provide additional staff office space
  • Install elevator for ADA access

Multi-Use Outdoor Facilities (MUOF): Completed summer 2009

  • Upgrade playground surfacing, equipment, and fencing
  • Provide adequate curbing and drainage
  • Replace aged and/or unsafe playground equipment
  • Make playgrounds ADA accessible

Information Technology (IT):

  • Upgrade WAN to provide capacity to support applications with high bandwidth demands
  • Upgrade LANs to provide reliable and responsive access to data, research, and information
  • Implement VoIP to enhance communications capabilities and reduce costs
