Welcome to the Board of Education Page!
Like all school districts in Colorado, Boulder Valley School District is governed by an elected board of education. The Boulder Valley Board of Education has seven members who each represent one of seven different districts throughout the geographical area of BVSD. Each member serves one four-year term per election up to a maximum of two terms or eight years total service.
The Boulder Valley Board of Education meets every second and fourth Tuesday of the month except in July, when no meetings are scheduled, and in March and December, when the second meeting of the month is usually cancelled. These regularly scheduled meetings begin at 6:00 p.m.
All Boulder Valley Board of Education meetings since Dec. 12, 2006, are available online. Agendas for upcoming meetings are posted by 4 p.m. on the Friday before that meeting. To review the agenda of a meeting, use the “Meeting Search” function at http://agendapublic.bvsd.org/meetings.aspx. Minutes will be available through this same system in mid-December 2010.
