Below are some commonly asked questions when considering enrollment. If we missed your question feel free to contact us at 720-561-5247 or email the Student Enrollment Center.

When can I enroll?    If you have just moved into the BVSD area, please contact the neighborhood school based on your address to start the enrollment process for your student. We will be accepting enrollment for incoming kindergarten students for the upcoming school year starting in mid-December. If you do not know your neighborhood school, you can find it at the School Finder. If you have further questions, please call 720-561-5247 or e-mail the Student Enrollment Center.

What do I do if I get stuck on the Student Enrollment Online form?  Please call the Student Enrollment Center at 720-561-5247 between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday or e-mail the Student Enrollment Center.

Do I have to do anything before I bring my Kindergartener to school on the first day?  Make sure you have completed the enrollment process.  Your individual school will have more details, including schools supply lists.  Individual school contact information and websites can be found here.

How do I Open Enroll?  Applications for Open Enrollment are available from December through mid-January for the following school year.  Complete regulations for the open enrollment process may be found at the Open Enrollment website.

Which schools offer Pre-Kindergarten (PK)?  The following schools have a preschool located onsite in BVSD. Please note, students attending these preschools do not continue in the same school for kindergarten unless they live in the school’s neighborhood boundaries.

These schools offer pre-school as part of their school’s program focus, these students remain in the school for their elementary education: Community Montessori, Escuela Bilingüe Pioneer, and University Hill.

How are PK seats determined?  PK seats are determined through the Open Enrollment process, either through the Open Enrollment office or the Early Childhood Education office. The Early Childhood Education office regulates the enrollment for most PK programs. The Open Enrollment office regulates the process for Community Montessori only.  More information may be found on the BVSD Preschool Program website.

Which schools offer full day Kindergarten? Full day Kindergarten is available at Columbine, Creekside, Emerald, Pioneer, Sanchez, University Hill, and Whittier.

Which schools offer Kindergarten Enrichment?  Kindergarten Enrichment is available at these schools:
